NRLO Service Awards Presented to Deserving Reserve Deputies

During their September, 2005, meeting, the following photograph was taken showing the recipients of NRLO's Service Award.  In a letter from Sergeant Richardson, he said:  "We realy appreciate the Service Awards.  They really help to boost morale among our Association.  Thanks again for all your assistance."  We at NRLO want to thank you, Sergeant Richardson, for allowing NRLO to introduce these fine Deputies to the rest of the country.

NRLO is proud to have been instrumental in the presentation of the prestigeous President's Call to Service Awards  given to Reserve Deputies Mark King (17 years beginning 1989 with a total of 5,208 volunteer hours), Alvin Morrow (13 years beginning 1993 with a total of 6,191 hours) and Sergeant Burt Franklin (10 years beginning 1996 with a total of 6,158 hours).

Photo Above: Recipients of The President's Call to Service Awards presented by Sheriff Enoch George at their December 5, 2006 meeting. (Left to right): Reserve Deputy Alvin Morrow, Maury County Sheriff Enoch George, Reserve Deputy Mark King.  Sergeant Burt Franklin is not pictured as he was unable to attend the meeting.  Congratulations to all.

After certification by NRLO, the awards were ordered and each were presented with a congratulations letter from President Bush, a letter from the President's Council, and a commemorative lapel pin. The President's Call to Service Awards were based on their completion of more than 4,000 volunteer hours for the Maury County Sheriff's Department who are long-time Members of NRLO.

These deserving Reserves were nominated for these "Presidential Service Awards" by Reserve Sergeant John Richardson.  In a recent correspondence he said, "I really appreciate everything NRLO did to make the Presidential Awards possible.  The Reserve Deputies were really excited about it."
