HOW TO NOMINATE ONE OF
YOUR OWN FOR NRLO's AWARD PROGRAM
Do you have a Reserve/Auxiliary who deserves
recognition?
NRLO
conducts an on-going, progressive "Citations and Awards Program"
which recognizes valor and outstanding achievements of Officers
while in the service of their communities. Along with the
citation, certificate, or award, recipients receive recognition
through a picture profile on this site. These citations and
awards are FREE to NRLO Member
Nominees. Instructions for nomination are listed
below.
Awards are based
on the information provided by the nominating party.
Following are examples of some of the classifications for awards to
Reserve and Regular Law Enforcement Officers. There is also a
category which enables the nomination of a civilian for
a Certificate of Appreciation. NRLO reserves the right to
make the final determination for awards requested.
NRLO does not
accept electrical nominations. The awards program is done
through regular mail or fax using Department
letterhead. Send a letter or fax providing the
applicable information listed below.

Public Service" / "Reserve Police Service" / "Professional Solving
of a Case by a Reserve Officer" / "Outstanding

"Honor" Award: examples - "Retired Reserve Officer" / "Retired
Regular Officer Who Gave Exemplary Support to a Reserve
Unit"

Reserve/Auxiliary Unit Awards - allows individuals to
nominate their entire Unit for an award.

Service
Award: example - "Honorable Service" (5 years or
more)

Merit Award:
example - "Excellent Service to Reserve Law
Enforcement"

NRLO
Chaplain "HOMELAND Award" - giving recognition to those Reserves
who are a big part in keeping our "Homeland" safe.

NRLO
Chaplain "FREEDOM Award" - giving recognition to those
Reserves who are also serving in the military.

Awards and Citations: NRLO will custom make an award or citation
or certificate of recognition/appreciation.
