ATTENTION:   Indiana Reserve Police Officers:

Contact your State District Representative and Senator to "voice your opinion" on the vote on House Bill 1029.

Synopsis:  Reserve Police Officer Training requires after June 30, 2009, a Police Reserve Officer to successfuly complete the basic training required for other law enforcement officers in order to exercise police powers.  Prohibits a Police Reserve Officer appointed before July 1, 1993, or a Police Reserve Officer who completed a pre-basic training course before July 1, 2008, from exercising police powers after June 30, 2009, unles the Officer successfully completes the basic training requirements. 

Effective July 1, 2008
