Department Reserve fall under the direction of Chief of Police David
Shears. The Operations Division Commander is Captain Jeffrey D.
McDougal who currently utilizes 7 Reserves in his Operations
Division.

The
Zephyrhills Police Department is organized into two Divisions - the
Operations Division and the Administrative Services Division.
Under the Operations Division, the Reserve Unit is under the direct
command of Captain Jeffrey D. McDougal. Officers assigned to this
Unit are Reserve I which is a Sworn position, and
Reserve II which is a non-Sworn position - or commonly
referred to as Auxiliary Officers.

The Operations Division, under
the command of Captain McDougal, is comprised of the following
Divisions: Uniform Patrol Section, K-9 Unit, and the Special
Operations Division (Reserve Unit, Bike Unit, Tactical Anti-Crime
Team, and the Honor Guard).
The Reserve Unit
assists regular Officers in the performance of Law Enforcement
duties; perform Law Enforcement related functions which may be
assigned during a tour of duty; perform duties of a uniform
Patrol Officer; and augment Law Enforcement efforts in
situations such as riots, natural disasters,
emergencies, etc. |
