Professional Standards for the Zephyrhills Police Department Reserve falls under the direction of Chief of Police Russell Barns who currently utilizes 9 Reserves in his Operations Division.

The Zephyrhills Police Department is organized into two Divisions - the Operations Division and the Administrative Services Division.  Under the Operations Division, the Reserve Unit is under the direct command of Robert McKinney,  Crime Prevention Support.  Officers assigned to this Unit are Reserve I which is a Sworn position, and Reserve II which is a non-Sworn position - or commonly referred to as Auxiliary Officers.

The Reserve Unit assists regular Officers in the performance of Law Enforcement duties; perform Law Enforcement related functions which may be assigned during a tour of duty; perform duties of a uniform Patrol Officer; and augment Law Enforcement efforts in situations such as riots, natural disasters, emergencies, etc.
