Reserve Police Unit Commander, Lieutenant Floyd
Cameron has been a Volunteer Law Enforcement Officer for over 36
years. He was honored by his Department and by the
Rushville Mayor when he was presented with NRLO's "2004
Outstanding Service Award" Pictured left to right:

St. Joseph County Police
Reserve
INDIANA - Captain Robert Lindgren has been a
Reserve Officer for over 20 years. He's held several
positions on the Board and is currently President of the St. Joseph
County Police Reserve. Captain Lindgren has logged hundreds of
hours in the Warrants Division as well as assisting in the Detective
Bureau and is one of the primary assistants in the St. Joseph County
Police Firearms Instruction Training. (From left to right)

ceremony held at hte 20th Precinct at One Police Plaza in NYC,

NYPD 20th Precinct Auxiliary presented with
NRLO's "Auxiliary Unit of the Year
Award" by 20 Pct. Commander James Murtaugh
(center). Accepting the Award on behalf of the 20th is
Auxiliary Captain Daniel Sayers (left). Pictured at right is 20th
Pct. Community Council President Samantha Katz (the Council also
presented awards of appreciation to the 20th. Click here for the

Ohio State Highway Patrol
Auxiliary REPRINTED FROM "THE SPARE
WHEEL" 12/2001 ISSUE
OHIO -
Auxiliary State Trooper Captain Ed Warstler of Ohio State Highway
Patrol was presented with NRLO's Distinguished Service Award on October
27, 2001, by Major J.P. Allen, Commander of
Planning and Information Services (left) and Auxiliary Lt. Colonel
(Commander) Thomas D. Charles. Captain Warstler completed 562 hours of training at the
Stark County State College Police Academy. During this
training, he received three special awards for PERFECT ATTENDANCE,
EXCELLENCE IN MARKSMANSHIP, and ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE. This
training is above and beyond what the Ohio State Highway Patrol
requires for Auxiliary Officers, and he was able to perform his
required duties as Commander of the Massillon Post Auxiliary Group
while completing this additional training. Captain Warstler,
who joined the Auxiliary in 1994, holds a B.A. degree from Malone
College and a Master of Education degree from Kent State
University. He retired from Canton Local Schools with 31 years
of teaching experience. He is also a real estate broker,
a licensed auctioneer, and a first aid and CPR instructor for the
American Red Cross. Ed and his wife Jean have two children.

NRLO Certificate of Recognition for
Citizen
ILLINOIS -
12-year-old Corey Allen Michael
Hendricks of Gillespie was named to the U.S.
Achievement Academy (2001 Recipient of U.S.
"Mathematics" Award). Upon reading about the
accomplishments of Hendricks in the reprinted newspaper article
below, NRLO Director Leon Schumacher issued a Certificate of Recognition for leadership,
citizenship, and academic
achievement. Schumacher wanted to
show appreciation at a national level to this young man.
Congratulations are in order to Corey and to his family. NRLO
is proud to present this Certificate of Recognition to this
outstanding young citizen.

6/2001: Corey Allen Michael
Hendricks has been named as winner of the U.S.
"MATHEMATICS" Award by the "United States Achievement
Academy." Hendricks is 12 years old, and he is a student
at Gillespie Middle School. Nationwide, the Academy
recognizes no more than 10% of American high school students.
As winner, Hendricks will be listed in the national
publication, "United States Achievement Academy Official
Yearbook." "Recognizing
and supporting our youth is more important than ever before in
America's history," said Dr. George Stevens, Executive Director
of the Academy. "Certainly, United States Achievement
Academy winners should be congratulated and appreciated for their
dedication to excellence and achievement." The Academy
selects winners upon the "Standards of Selection" as is set forth by
the Academy. The criteria of selection are a student's
academic performance, interest and aptitude, leadership qualities,
responsibility, enthusiasm, motivation to learn and improve,
citizenship, attitude and cooperative spirit, dependability, and
recommendation from a Teacher/Director. Corey is the son of
Kent Allen Hendricks of Gillespie and of Amy Gears who of East
Alton, Illinois. His grandparents are Rosemary Hayes of
Gillespie and Mary Beth and Norman Highlander of Chicago.

Shelby County Sheriff's
Reserve
TENNESSEE - Shelby County Sheriff's Reserve
Captain Annette Cotton was presented with NRLO's
"Outstanding Service
Award" by Chief Inspector Rudy
Davis for the many years of outstanding service to the
Sheriff's Department. Captain Cotton is a 13-year veteran
of the Sheriff's Reserve. Captain Cotton joined NRLO in
1995. The Shelby County Reserve Deputies serve in the
following Department Divisions: Patrol, Narcotics, Detective,
Fugitive, Civil, Training, Traffic, DUI, Motor Escort, Community
Policing, and Search & Rescue.

- Reserve Deputy Neil Tubbs, Jefferson County
Sheriff's Department - "Outstanding Service
Award" Purpose of Award:
Actions of Reserve Deputy Tubbs lead to the apprehension
of four home invasion robbery suspects.
Nominated by: Sergeant M. "Bud"
Bumgarner on June 6, 2002.
Details: On Monday, March 17, 2002, a home
invasion robbery took place in a rural foothills neighborhood, west
of the Denver metropolitan area. Three masked suspects forced
their way into a private residence by gun point where the victims
were physically restrained, threatened and demanded of their

Department.") Presenting the
NRLO Award to Reserve Deputy Neil Tubbs during their annual
"Appreciation" ceremony held on November 7, 2002, is Jeferson County

NORTH CAROLINA
- 1999 -
Two retiring Police Reserve Officers
Receive NRLO's
"Outstanding Service Awards." "We always
said that when one left, the other would too ..." Culler
said. Former High Point Police Reserve Officers, long-time NRLO Members
Jerry Culler and Leroy Troxel each
received the NRLO "Outstanding Service Award" for commitment to
their community, for years of service, and for contributing to the
cause of Reserve Law Enforcement. "It feels pretty
good," Culler said, "I was pretty surprised. We had
no idea." Culler retired in June, 1997, and was the
Reserve's Executive Officer for 20 of his 23 years of service.
Troxel, an operations manager for Guilford County, retired from the
Reserves in March, 1997, also after 23 years. "I feel
honored," Troxel said. "It was kind of a shock. For
them to give the award; it was unexpected at the least."
NRLO Director Leon Schumacher said, "Officers Culler and Troxel are truly two of this
country's "Ultimate
Volunteers."

Nicolitz, Dona Ana County Sheriff's Reserve - "1998 Reserve Administrator of the Year"
