The New York

The
NYSAAP represents members of Auxiliary, Special and Reserve
Departments in New York State. The primary purpose and objective of the Association
is to promote and improve the benefits of its members, promote the
understanding and cooperation between members of the Association and
the professional Law Enforcement agencies with whom they interact,
and promote the value of Volunteer Law Enforcement programs to the
communities they serve.
The NYSAAP sets a standard to allow Auxiliary Units
to be organized in municipalities, many of which may not have such
organizations as of yet, and assist in legislation that may need to
be set or amended. The NYSAAP helps Departments share ideas
for Recruitment & Training on an AOL Group. President
Glenn Kearney said, "This
is the best place to get info on what's happening. The State
is very big, so we don't get to meet as often as we would
like. So the AOL group has become the virtual meeting
room. We also keep members informed of any bills in Albany

A Security Franchise Built By
Law Enforcement Professionals
Signal
88 Security Group was
founded to establish a higher standard of professionalism in the
security industry. We are founded by former law enforcement
professionals and offer highly trained security personnel,
incorporating state-of-the-art technology to provide customized
security services to the business community. We have strong
relationships within the community; we are trusted, credible and
respected.
We offer unrivaled services because of our managerial capabilities. We
recruit higher quality personnel and train them to deal with the
most crucial security issues facing our customers today. Our
community-based security programs are successful because we fully
understand the nature of the businesses we secure, the properties
and personnel we protect, and the deterrent effect we
promote.
The growing security
market: The security
services industry, currently $31
billion in annual sales revenues, is a growing market, with future growth
projected in double-digit percentages. Security guard and
patrol services represent 48 percent of all services within the
security industry.*
The security market is
dominated by big, international security companies. These
organizations have large bureaucracies with many local, regional,
national, even global management structures. Contrast this
with local, smaller, independent security companies specializing in
niche areas of the industry. These businesses have limited
market appeal, generally with limited numbers of
accounts.
Signal 88 Security Group
was created to bridge the gap between the large, inefficient
security company and the small, local security shop.
Signal 88 Security provides superior
security services through the
utilization of the latest technology and a management process with
inherent efficiencies and capabilities powered by this technology,
none of it available to or used by the competition. This
approach is unique in the
industry and provides a
competitive edge for the success of all Signal 88 Security
franchises.
A true partnership:
The Signal 88 Security Franchise Group
will work with you to establish a successful Signal 88 business in
your location. We will:
-
Research and
generate a marketplace study identifying the factors in your city
that determine the viability of a successfull security operation in
your area.
-
Fully evaluate your market, as well as its need for security services, covering
the business market, the residential market, areas of affluence,
national account appeal, and the government contract opportunities
in your area.
-
Provide step-by-step
instructions relating to marketing,
sales, and implementation processes to help ensure your
success.
Your business:
The initiation
and training processes start when it has been determined that there
is both mutual interest and a match for a Signal 88 Security
franchise in your area. Training is conducted at the
headquarters of Signal 88 Security Franchise Group and includes
comprehensive coverage of every
aspect of the business. After training, you return home to begin the
initiation process, which starts with marketing your services by
setting up meetings with prospective customers. Signal 88
Security representatives help you every step of the way, even making
site visits to help you secure new customers, as well as assisting
with employee hiring and training. In time, you will be
uniquely positioned to capitalize on a great opportunity working and
making money in the burgeoning security
industry.

This
is a patent pending "seat-belt"
device.
By Alan
Beaty Oklahoma State Trooper
NRLO Director of
Training, Captain Chuck Mantkus, said of this seatbelt
device: "The
'Trooper Trap' seat belt
alarm system is absolutely outstanding. This should have been
on Law Enforcement Units years ago. I know of many, many cases
where it would have saved the lives of Officers and others.
Congratulations are due; and I hope that the
device becomes mandatory on all Law Enforcement vehicles.
This device should be promoted
world-wide." ****************************************************************************************************************** "The unique features of Trooper Trap allow the Officer to
monitor the prisoner without physically watching him/her. The
advantages of Trooper
Trap are Officer safety, being able to watch your prisoner
without backup, and simple easy operation."
-
"I am a Trooper in
Oklahoma who had my Patrol Unit stolen by a prisoner that slipped
out of the handcuffs, the seatbelt, and sped off with my Unit only
to crash it and attempt to escape of foot; but I caught
her."
-
"I truly think this device
will make the difference in life and death to more than one
Officer. I want each and every Officer to go home after each
shift, and that is the biggest push behind this
device."
I invented a
device called Trooper
Trap to prevent Patrol Unit theft from
happening again. I noticed a prisoner transport topic talked
about on your nrlo.net pages and thought other Officers
might like to know about this patent pending device.
Briefly stated,
Trooper Trap is
designed to assist in simple and standard Officer safety
tactics. When a subject is arrested, the Officer handcuffs and
searches the prisoner. Then the prisoner is placed in the
Patrol Unit with or without a cage, and a switch is turned on
"arming" Trooper
Trap. The Officer can talk to another
subject or search a vehicle without constantly monitoring the
prisoner. If a prisoner attempts to escape, the seatbelt must
be removed, and an external alarm will sound to alert the Officer
that the prisoner had unfastened the seatbelt. The Officer can
then return to the Patrol Unit and re-secure the prisoner.
The unique features of
Trooper Trap
allow the Officer to monitor the prisoner without physically
watching him/her. The advantages of Trooper Trap are Officer safety,
being able to watch your prisoner without backup, and simple easy
operation.
There are news video
clips for your review on the Trooper Trap web
site. Necessary download links are provided on the site in
order for you to view these clips (RealPlayer). It's a free
download from the trooper.com site.
